Although not terribly difficult to complete, some of the puzzles can get a little repetitive or be time-consuming in a way that might make more action-oriented players lose interest.

The graphics in The Mystery of the Dragon Prince are good but not spectacular. The Mystery of the Dragon Prince's imagery is very reminiscent to games you would see in the mid to late 90s in terms of quality and detail. Most of the game takes place in still frames, with more detailed insets being where you complete the puzzles. On very rare occasion, an action frame is included, although these are brief.

Interaction with other characters in The Mystery of the Dragon Prince is done via text that appears on the screen. Oftentimes if you click on a character or an object repeatedly, you're bound to get repetitive responses. Many conversations or text pop-ups contain clues that you'll need to solve future puzzles as well.

The Mystery of the Dragon Prince is a fun game for lovers of older, more traditional PC games.

As with most major P2P portals, Tribler allows you to browse simply by media category, and the most popular content is displayed first. What I really liked about Tribler, however, is the preview function. When you select a file, you can choose whether to preview or download it. Preview it by clicking the big Play button and Tribler will search for other users with the file so that you can see whether it's worth downloading. The disadvantage of this though is that the previews take ages to load as it searches for other users with the same material.

The settings are very limited. You can configure a nickname for your profile on Tribler, a maximum upload and download limit, the router port you want Tribler to use, and a default download location. It doesn't save your search terms, so you have to retype them if you want to search a subject regularly.

Overall, Tribler is an excellent P2P file sharing client for those new to it, although seasoned users will find it more than lacking in certain areas.

Il motore di scansione antivirus appare di buona fattura, e in particolare il modulo di difesa proattiva SONAR 4 (migliorato in questa versione) funziona abbastanza bene. Utile, inoltre, la possibilità di eseguire una scansione della tua bacheca Facebook, sempre più spesso strumento di diffusione di malware. Norton Internet Security 2012 è in grado anche di scoprire eventuali vulnerabilità del sistema e di classificare le applicazioni installate secondo il presunto grado di pericolosità.

Rispetto al classico Blocco note è un editor di testo infinitamente superiore e ricchissimo di funzionalità aggiuntive, soprattutto per gli sviluppatori di software. È proprio a questa categoria di utenti che si rivolge con una serie di funzionalità come colorazione sintattica, auto completamento del testo, accoppiamento delle parentesi, stampa del codice con i colori della sintassi e molto altro ancora. Notepad++ è distribuito con le impostazioni per una trentina tra i più noti linguaggi di programmazione, ma è ovviamente possibile scaricarne altre, o definirne di proprie. Può essere usato ad esempio come editor html.

Anche se non sei un programmatore puoi comunque trovare molti buoni motivi per utilizzare Notepad++ per scrivere e leggere i tuoi file di testo. L'interfaccia è estremamente comoda: ti permette di visualizzare due testi contemporaneamente in finestre affiancate o di utilizzare la navigazione a schede per aprire un numero imprecisato di file nella stessa finestra del programma, senza intasare la barra delle applicazioni di Windows. L'utilizzo dell'applicazione è molto semplice. Una volta settate le preferenze di Replay Music e stabilito in che formato salvare i file output, basta schiacciare il pulsante Start recording. Nel caso del formato MP3, puoi decidere anche il bitrate, privilegiando quindi la qualità (che nel caso tu stia registrando musica è l'opzione auspicabile) oppure la dimensione contenuta dei file. È previsto anche il bitrate variabile.

Replay Music crea automaticamente dei tagli nei file in uscita quando l'audio ha delle pause di silenzio, evitando così di crearne di lunghissimi. L'operazione di taglio è anche eseguibile manualmente tramite il pulsante Split now. Una volta salvato ciò che vuoi, puoi masterizzare CD audio o MP3 direttamente dall'interfaccia di Replay Music. TVdream è un progetto tutto italiano. L'idea degli sviluppatori è stata quella di raccogliere in un'unica interfaccia diverse fonti e servizi web in grado di trasmettere contenuti televisivi in streaming.

Attualmente TVdream dispone di oltre 50 canali TV selezionabili, tutti italiani. Il player consente solo di navigare (comodamente) sulla lista dei canali e di scegliere quello da te desiderato. La qualità delle singole emittenti varia da caso a caso ma è generalmente buona. Pochi i canali non funzionanti durante i nostri test.

L'avvio di TVdream non è rapidissimo, ma in compenso il software è essenziale e usabile. Non esistono opzioni, salvo una chat situata lateralmente ma poco frequentata durante la nostra prova. Nonostante ciò, il programma funziona bene ed è un'ottima alternativa a SocialTivu.

Come ogni simulazione estrema, netKar Pro è un gioco tutt'altro che semplice da prendere in mano e che richiede un tempo di apprendimento non indifferente per sentire il giusto feeling con l'auto. Fatta la dovuta pratica, il gioco regala sensazioni di velocità da brivido, grazie anche a una fisica molto convincente.

Gli sviluppatori di netKar Pro hanno voluto puntare tutto sul realismo. Dovrai lavorare a fondo sul setup e l'aerodinamica della vettura, e le tue scelte avranno una ripercussione evidente sia sulle prestazioni della macchina che sulla sua guidabilità. È importante possedere le giuste conoscenze sul lato meccanico per impostare tutte le regolazioni al meglio: carico di benzina, pressione dei pneumatici, regolazione delle sospensioni, rapporti delle marce e molto altro ancora.

netKar Pro è dotato di incredibili effetti sonori che ti immergono completamente nella corsa, come se fossi realmente dentro l'abitacolo. Interessante poi il lavoro svolto dai produttori sull'usura dei pneumatici: tanto a livello visivo come a livello di guidabilità, il deterioramento delle gomme influenza il comportamento e le prestazioni della vettura in pista. Interessante, inoltre, la possibilità di accedere a tutti i dati sulla telemetria della macchina.

Le monoposto che potrai guidare in netKar Pro sono quelle delle categorie inferiori alla F1, come la F-1600, F-2000, KS2 e così via. Ma potrai pilotare anche macchine da turismo e repliche di modelli che hanno fatto storia.

Il simulatore netKar Pro mette a disposizione sei circuiti, cinque tradizionali (con diverse varianti) ed uno su strade di montagna (la cronoscalata Trento-Bondone), ed un editor che ti permette di creare i tracciati secondo la tua fantasia. In netKar Pro puoi sfidare il tempo in sessioni singole o giocare in multiplayer online fino a 15 giocatori reali in sfide ad altissimo livello.

In definitiva netKar Pro è un gioco per veri appassionati della simulazione. E se cerchi un'alternativa nel mondo della Formula 1, dai un'occhiata anche a F1 2011.

Ignite è un gioco di corse cittadine con un gameplay arcade, in pieno stile NFS. Tante macchine, circuiti e settaggi diversi ma anche un livello di difficoltà piuttosto basso

Ignite non fa altro che confermare un dato di fatto: Need for Speed ha segnato la storia e inaugurato un genere di successo. Gare su circuiti urbani condite da tanta spettacolarità sono un mix vincente.

In Ignite, derapare, seguire le scie e colpire oggetti lungo il percorso ti faranno guadagnare punti che andranno a sottrarre secondi al tuo tempo di arrivo. Come in NFS, hai a disposizione anche serbatoio di Nitro che ti darà un boost impressionante, ma che devi dosare attentamente.

I comandi di Ignite sono estremamente intuitivi, e usarli ti verrà quasi da sè. Nel gioco sono disponibili tre modalità: Run-Out, Knock-Out e Race Mode, ma anche tante piste e macchine differenti, ognuna delle quali ha 5 settaggi predefiniti che cambieranno lo stile di guida e i punti a fine gara.

Graficamente, Ignite è quasi ineccepibile, ogni impatto è riprodotto benissimo grazie a un tremore dello schermo e l'utilizzo della Nitro genera un effetto motion blur. In definitiva, Ignite è una buona alternativa agli arcade NFS o Burnout, ma non molto di più.

Ricordi il nano del film "Il meraviglioso mondo di Amelie"? Ora puoi portare un nanetto da giardino (o chi vuoi tu) in giro per il mondo semplicemente usando il tuo computer. Con FotoMix realizzare fotomontaggi è semplicissimo, e non richiede conoscenze tecniche.

L'interfaccia è un po' spartana e le funzioni a disposizione limitate all'essenziale, ma se non vai troppo per il sottile FotoMix ti permette di realizzare fotomontaggi divertenti in pochi click. Nella finestra background inserisci lo sfondo che vuoi usare, su Foreground inserisci l'immagine che vuoi sovrappore all'altra foto (e, se vuoi, modifichi la dimensione, il colore o applichi filtri), cancelli lo sfondo con la gomma a disposizione e in Composition puoi già lavorare sulle due immagini sovrapposte, anche se FotoMix rende il tutto il più automatico possibile.

A questo punto non ti rimane che andare alla penultima scheda del programma, chiamata Touch Up, da dove puoi effettuare gli ultimi ritocchi veloci. Quando sei pronto, clicca su Finish e, se vuoi, puoi scegliere la cornice da applicare al tuo fotomontaggio. Fatto: semplice, rapido e indolore. Insomma, se sei un professionista del settore questo programma non fa per te, ma se invece vuoi divertirti a creare fotomontaggi facilmente, FotoMix è una soluzione interessante.

Teracopy è un ottimo programma per migliorare l?efficienza delle operazioni di copia e spostamento dei file. Gratuito per uso personale, rapido e facile da usare, contiene alcune interessanti funzioni

Chi usa un PC con dedizione lo sa. La domenica mattina non è giornata di gite fuori porta. È giornata di ottimizzazione dei contenuti del proprio hard disk. Momento di grandi pulizie, spostamenti di file, copie di backup. Il giorno mistico in cui dal Caos si costruisce pazientemente l?Ordine. Per rendere il compito più semplice e rapido (così da lasciare un po? di tempo anche alla gita fuori porta, magari), è auspicabile scaricare un programma che velocizzi il trasferimento di file di grandi dimensioni.

Un programma come TeraCopy, stabile e facile da usare, che in più ti offre alcune piacevoli caratteristiche addizionali. Quella che mi sembra più interessante di TeraCopy è la possibilità di mettere in pausa il processo di copia in qualsiasi momento, magari per sbloccare risorse del sistema durante un?altra operazione complessa. Dopo potrai continuare dal punto in cui avevi interrotto con un semplice clic. Inoltre, potrai testare l?integrità dei file prima di copiarli.

In caso di errore, Teracopy farà diversi tentativi e nel peggiore dei casi salterà semplicemente il file, continuando con il trasferimento degli altri. Tutte le operazioni, quelle andate a buon fine e quelle fallite, vengono dettagliatamente riportate in una lista.

TeraCopy viene integrato nelle finestre di Windows e nel menu contestuale del mouse. Dopo l?installazione si configura come gestore predefinito dei file (per usarlo saltuariamente basta disattivare un?opzione di "Menu/Options"). BlueGriffon è un editor visuale (WYSIWYG) che non richiede particolari conoscenze in materia per poter essere usato. L'interfaccia è in italiano e mette a disposizione tutti gli strumenti basici necessari per creare e modificare pagine web, incluso un wizard per iniziare da zero il tuo progetto.

BlueGriffon, che supporta gli ultimi standard web come HTML5, CSS3, MathML, include anche un pratico editor vettoriale SVG e può essere personalizzato e potenziato con l'aggiunta di plugin, scaricabili sul sito ufficiale.

Questa piccola e apparentemente inutile estensione di Chrome si occupa di arrotondare gli spigolosi contorni di Facebook in tutti i suoi aspetti, migliorando notevolmente il design generale e l'impatto visivo.

In pratica Facebook Rounder rende tondeggiante tutto il tondeggiabile. Arrotonda i contorni delle foto, del box dove inserire i tuoi status, dei messaggi... di tutto, via. I cambiamenti sono sottili ma l'effetto cumulativo è davvero buono e l'interfaccia di Facebook migliora sensibilmente.

Non ci sono opzioni di configurazione né altri ammennicoli, e questo un po' dispiace, ma Facebook Rounder è una di quelle piccole applicazioni a cui ti affezioni subito!

La velocità di download è buona, così come quella di conversione. Non è Speedy Gonzales ma non ci si può lamentare.

Free Studio Manager include anche un editor di immagini e video in 3D, funzioni di screen capture (per registrare quello che avviene sullo schermo del tuo PC), un uploader di contenuti per cellulari e, ovviamente, la possibilità di scaricare musica da YouTube sul proprio PC ma anche direttamente sull'iPod e iPhone o sun un DVD.

C'è davvero poco da eccepire in Free Studio Manager, che oltretutto ha anche un'interfaccia semplice e molto gradevole esteticamente. Ecco, a voler essere pignoli potremmo dire che le schermate dei singoli programmi (per esempio il Free YouTube Download) sono molto meno attraenti. Ma perché essere sempre pignoli?

Opera 11 integra Opera Turbo e un aggiornamento del motore di rendering Opera Presto, che garantiscono una maggiore velocità nel caricamento delle pagine. Il browser include il modulo Opera Unite, che dota il navigatore di funzioni di web-server. È presente anche uno zoom molto potente, calibrabile secondo necessità.

In Opera l'accesso ai siti preferiti è garantito dalla funzione Speed Dial, una comoda start-page composta da nove finestre in miniatura con altrettanti collegamenti.

Opera 11 offre funzioni di anteprima per le schede aperte e il "tab stacking", che permette di raggruppare diversi tab in uno solo. Questa versione, inoltre, aggiunge per la prima volta il supporto alle estensioni, ma al momento il quantitativo di plugin installabili è ridotto. Opera supporta anche specifiche gesture del mouse, attivabili premendo il tasto destro del mouse per circa un secondo.

Molto comodi anche il client RSS, il download manager che integra la funzione "resume" per i download interrotti, la navigazione privata e il supporto per scaricare file in formato torrent, senza la necessità di utilizzare client esterni. Se sei alla ricerca di un ambiente di sviluppo Java più facilmente gestibile di Eclipse o di NetBeans, potresti provare JCreator LE, che si presenta con poche complicazioni, senza per questo rinunciare alle funzionalità degne di un IDE moderno, quali ad esempio una completa evidenziazione della sintassi, un?interfaccia comoda per creare ogni tipo di progetto e un navigatore per spostarsi comodamente tra le classi e i file che compongono il tuo progetto Java.

Inoltre bisogna sottolineare come JCreator sia stato sviluppato in C++ e non in Java, cosa che gli permette di mantenere buone prestazioni anche scrivendo codice da un computer con capacità limitate in termini di processore, ma soprattutto di memoria.

Purtroppo a questa versione LE di JCreator (totalmente gratuita) mancano alcune opzioni che potrebbero servirti soprattutto se sei uno sviluppatore professionista, come il completamento automatico della sintassi e un?interfaccia per fare il debug. Per avere anche queste funzionalità potresti andare sul sito ufficiale del programma e controllare se la versione Pro di JCreator (gratuita solamente per trenta giorni) soddisfa le tue esigenze.

GameStudio / A7 è una suite di tool per lo sviluppo di giochi tridimensionali: motore grafico, editor di livelli, di modelli 3D, di script e compilatore sono gli strumenti principali contenuti

Per chi vuole addentrarsi nel mondo dello sviluppo di giochi 3D, GameStudio è un buon punto di partenza. È relativamente economico (con "soli" 199 dollari si può avere una versione utile per lo sviluppo di progetti commerciali) ed è tecnicamente avanzato: supporto per gli shader, motore fisico, alta risoluzione sono solo alcune delle caratteristiche tecniche più interessanti, considerato il target di riferimento non strettamente professionale.

GameStudio / A7 non è ovviamente un unico software. È composto da più strumenti da utilizzare nelle varie fasi di sviluppo. Comunque la componente più importante è WED (World Editor) che serve per mettere assieme le varie parti di un gioco: i modelli poligonali, le azioni che gli oggetti sono in grado di compiere, texture e altro ancora. Vi sono poi MED (Model Editor) per realizzare modelli poligonali e SED (Script Editor), l'editor e compilatore per C-Lite, il linguaggio di programmazione e scripting usato dal programma.

Al di là dei tool contenuti, GameStudio / A7 è interessante anche perché offre diversi strumenti di aiuto. Come i template, grazie ai quali realizzare giochi elementari di un certo genere (ad esempio sparattutto) senza mettere le mani sul codice. Una buona collezione di artwork e e texture liberamente utilizzabili, permette anche di non dover lavorare eccessivamente con tool grafici esterni, come Photoshop o The Gimp.

Strutturalmente, Iji è un platform bidimensionale. Ma non bisogna semplicemente occuparsi di superare i livelli evitando ostacoli e uccidendo nemici. Cooliris, precedentemente noto come PicLens, espone le immagini e i video che trova su Internet e sul tuo PC creando un ambiente virtuale 3D, elegante e facilmente navigabile. È una semplice componente aggiuntiva per IE, ma con il suo uso le foto sembrano molto più belle

Cooliris è una spettacolare estensione per Internet Explorer. Solitamente "spettacolare" ed "estensione" non sono due parole che vanno assieme, ma in questo caso bisogna proprio fare un'eccezione. Cooliris crea un murale d'immagini in un ambiente 3D. Ma non lo fa solo con le foto che conservi sul tuo hard disk (sarebbe banale), ma con quelle trovate su siti supportati. In particolare è compatibile con i principali portali specializzati, come Google Immagini, Flickr, Picasa Web Albums, deviantArt, e molti altri, elencati sul sito ufficiale. Lo stesso fa con i video di YouTube, riproducendoli all'interno dell'ambiente virtuale.

Dopo aver installato Cooliris, prova a navigare su uno di questi siti. Passando con il puntatore del mouse sulle immagini vedrai comparire un piccolo bottone azzurro. Premilo, perché è la porta d'ingresso al mondo virtuale di Cooliris. Entra, e sul muro virtuale troverai in bella mostra le immagini presenti sulla pagina web che stavi navigando, e pure le foto di eventuali pagine collegate.

Una volta dentro il mondo di Cooliris anche l'esplorazione è spettacolare. Con la rotellina del mouse ci si avvicina/allontana dal murale. E con pochi movimenti e clic si scorrono le immagini come se si stesse camminando di fronte al muro. Con un doppio clic si attiva una seconda modalità di visualizzazione delle foto a schermo intero, con miniature a scomparsa delle immagini più prossime.

Comodissimo per scoprire nuove immagini su alcuni dei siti supportati da Cooliris, senza essere obbligati ad uscire dal programma. Insomma, tutto perfetto o quasi. Perché decine o centinaia di immagini sono un bel peso, per la connessione e per il PC. A volte bisogna sopportare qualche piccolo rallentamento nella navigazione. Niente che possa comunque sminuire l'impatto provocato da Cooliris.

Una volta distrutto, fino alla fine della partita non potrai recuperare il tuo carro armato, ma potrai in compenso abbandonarla e riniziarne un'altra con un altro mezzo cigolato. Se lasci le partite i punti esperienza non andranno persi e non appena la partita finirà recupererai il carro armato.

World of Tanks può essere difficile per i principianti che si troveranno ad affrontare giocatori esperti con mezzi superiori. E anche se la grafica non è eccezionale, World of Tanks garantisce molte ore di divertimento e tanta possibilità di migliorare il carro armato e la propria tattica.

Differenze tra Chrome e Chrome for Business

Google Chrome for Business nelle funzioni è identico alla versione classica. C'è solo una piccola differenza: l'installer. Chrome utilizza di regola un web-installer (di una manciata di KB) che si collega automaticamente ai server di Google per eseguire il download e l'installazione del browser. Chrome for Business, invece, fa uso di un normale archivio MSI nel quale è contenuto l'intero setup (circa 25 MB).

Di Google Chrome piace la possibilità di usare una griglia dei siti più visti per accedervi velocemente. Colpisce anche la sua rapidità nel caricare le pagine (non è un mistero che, benchmark alla mano, sia il browser più veloce del web) e la possibilità di navigare anche in "incognito", senza tracciare l'attività sul web.

Omnibox e gestione dei tab

In Google Chrome for Business, così come nella versione classica, non esiste la barra dei motori di ricerca. Ma c'è Omnibox, che ti consente di effettuare ricerche sul web scrivendo direttamente sulla barra degli indirizzi. Omnibox offre anche funzioni di completamento automatico intelligente, con feature di ricerca all'interno della cronologia.

Google Chrome for Business gestisce separatamente le singole schede. Per ciascuna viene creato un processo indipendente. Il vantaggio è chiaro: il blocco (per qualsiasi ragione) di uno dei tab, non provoca la paralisi dell'intero browser. Geniale.

Flash Player e lettore PDF integrato

Google Chrome ha il Flash Player integrato di default (non dovrai quindi installare l'apposito plugin a parte), garantisce pieno supporto ad HTML5 e offre funzioni di riconoscimento vocale. Include inoltre l'autocompletamento dei form, lo zoom, un lettore PDF integrato, la sincronizzazione dei preferiti, drag tab per la visualizzazione in parallelo di due schede e supporta ottimamente altri servizi di Big G, come Google Gears e Gmail.

Conclusioni

Google Chrome for Business è un eccellente browser, facile da usare, estremamente rapido e costantemente aggiornato. Non ci entusiasmano però il menu delle opzioni (alquanto scarno rispetto alla concorrenza) ed il consumo di risorse, che con molte schede aperte può essere elevato.

Era il lontano '97 quando venne rilasciato l'innovativo e scandaloso GTA. Due anni dopo arrivò l'ora di Grand Theft Auto 2, che riprendeva il gameplay del primo capitolo della saga ampliandone la formula verso nuove inesplorate direzioni. Adesso, dopo tanti episodi di GTA in 3D, sembra passata un'era geologica, ma il divertimento è ancora garantito.

Grand Theft Auto 2 rimane molto simile al predecessore. Ambientato nella futurista Anywhere City, ripropone la visuale dall'alto, libertà completa di movimento e la possibilità di rubare auto, uccidere passanti e combattere con la polizia. Il gioco è strutturato per missioni che potrai avviare rispondendo ai telefoni pubblici in giro per la città.

La città è suddivisa in tre distretti, Downtown, il Residential District e l'Industrial District, pognuno di questo popolato da tre gang differenti: i Loonies, gli Yakuza e le Zaibatsu nel primo; i Redneck, gli Zaibatsu e gli SRS nel secondo; e gli Hare Krishna, la mafia russa e gli Zaibatsu nel terzo.

Gran parte del divertimento di Grand Theft Auto 2 è garantito dall'open world, dall'umorismo e soprattutto dalla possibilità guidare macchine e di trucidare passanti e poliziotti. Rispetto agli episodi moderni della serie, la maggior mancanza è data dall'assenza di una mappa della città.

Questa versione di Grand Theft Auto 2 è stata ottimizzata per PC più moderni. L'obsolescenza della grafica però si nota eccome, e lo stesso vale per il sonoro. Ma se saprai prescindere dalla realizzazione tecnica potrai comunque divertirti per ore con questo intramontabile classico.

Opera mise une fois de plus sur l'innovation pour se distinguer de la concurrence. Surprenante et riche en fonctionnalités, cette nouvelle version joue dans la cour des grands. Opera 11 remet la franchise norvégienne dans une excellente position face à une concurrence toujours plus relevée dans la catégorie des navigateurs internet. Face à Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer et Safari, Opera a bien négocié le virage du HTML5.

Comme toujours, Opera mise sur l'innovation, cette fois dans l'interface: la gestion des onglets est améliorée. On peut maintenant les regrouper, utile lorsqu'on a une dizaines d'entre eux ouverts en permanence.

Côté performance, c'est du tout bon: Opera 11 gère les derniers standards du web à la perfection grâce à son moteur de rendu Opera Presto, parfaitement à l'aise avec le HTML5 et le CSS3. Idem pour le Javascript avec le moteur Carakan qui réagit au doigt et à l'oeil.

Résultat, un affichage des pages ultra-rapide, digne de Google Chrome. Le mode Turbo fait appel à des serveurs de cache hébergés par Opera pour accélérer l'affichage des pages. Efficace et simple à mettre en ?uvre, il devrait faire le bonheur des utilisateurs nomades.

On retrouve "Unite", un serveur Web au c?ur du navigateur pour permettre à tout un chacun de diffuser librement fichiers, musique et photos directement depuis son ordinateur.

Un compte Opera et une configuration indolore suffisent pour partager du contenu en ligne, lancer son propre serveur Web ou sa salle de conversation (chat). Seule contrainte, Opera doit être lancé pour que le contenu soit disponible.

Pinnacle Studio HD est un excellent logiciel de montage vidéo HD aux capacités étendues. Référence du genre, il est adapté aux utilisateurs débutants avec son interface intuitive, marque de fabrique de la maison.

La capture permet d'importer des vidéos depuis le disque dur ou bien directement d'une caméra DV, HDV ou AVCHD ou d'un appareil photo numérique.

Pinnacle Studio HD rend l'édition facile. La fonction détection de scène, optionnelle mais salutaire, permet de scinder l'extrait à chaque changement de plan. Après quelques minutes de glisser-déplacer, on arrive à un résultat satisfaisant qu'on peut observer dans la fenêtre de visualisation.

Pinnacle Studio HD donne du style au montage, avec une centaine d'effets et de transitions. 80 modèles de montage multi-couches permettent de combiner 2 vidéos dans un plan, soit en incrustant de l'image dans l'image, soit en affichant un fond derrière une personne au premier plan (l'effet du présentateur météo), etc...

Le chapitre audio a été mis à la page dans cette version 12 avec un rendu dolby 5.1 surround. Le programme permet de contrôler les décibels, pour assurer un volume homogène.

Une fois la vidéo finalisée, Pinnacle Studio HD la grave sur DVD ou Blu-ray en y ajoutant des menus, l'exporte sur le disque dur ou l'envoie directement sur YouTube ou Yahoo Video.

Pinnacle Studio HD propose une interface plus aérée qu'Adobe Premiere Elements 7, mais leurs fonctionnalités sont sensiblement les mêmes. On peut déplorer chez le premier les rares options de paramétrage des effets, ce qui en fait une solution un peu limitée pour un usage professionnel.

Pinnacle Studio HD est par ailleurs très gourmand en ressource: si la configuration minimum exige 1 Go de RAM, 2 voire trois 3 Go ne sont pas de trop pour le montage en HD ou la gravure de Blu-ray.

Le plus important reste cependant les ajouts interactifs, rajoutant une nouvelle dimension de possibilités au logiciel. Indesign CS5.5 permet non seulement de réaliser des mises en pages magazines, mais aussi d'exporter vers les e-books, et d'intégrer dans ses mises en page des éléments multimédia: sons, vidéos, boutons, animations. Tout se fait depuis l'interface du logiciel et - bien entendu - les autres logiciels de la suite.

Aperçu général des fonctionnalités de Nero 11

Pour rentrer de plein pied dans la suite Nero 11, vous pouvez utiliser le menu Bienvenue sur Nero 11. Le remplaçant du menu Nero SmartStart permet d'aller directement là où vous le souhaitez. Nero faisant énormément de choses, il fallait au moins un écran d'accueil pour s'y retrouver. Le moins que l'on puisse dire, c'est que Nero 11 ne lésine pas sur le nombre de programmes.

- Nero Kwik Media gère et organise l'ensemble de vos fichiers numériques. Envahissant pour certains, pratique pour d'autres, Nero ne vous laisse de toute façon pas le choix. Le logiciel est installé par défaut.

Pour les tâches rapides, Nero Express est davantage recommandé.
- Nero CoverDesigner permet de concevoir ses pochettes de CD ou DVD, de l'image sur le disque à la pochette.
- Nero Video permet de créer des diaporamas photo et des montages vidéo.

Nitronic Rush est un jeu de course futuriste gratuit aux graphismes 3D très originaux. Un titre fortement inspiré de l'univers de Tron dans lequel vos réflexes seront certainement mis à mal.

Plus qu'un simple jeu de course automobile, les mondes futuristes de Nitronic Rush présentent de nombreuses embûches, à éviter à tout prix pour ne pas se retrouver désintégré par la matrice. Scies géantes, parois qui apparaissent au dernier moment et ventilateurs surpuissants ne sont qu'un avant-goût des obstacles à surmonter pour franchir la ligne d'arrivée sain et sauf.

Les pistes ressemblent plus à des montagnes russes numériques qu'à des circuits automobiles. Les rampes, tonneaux et autres portions de piste transparentes confèrent un plaisir de jeu certain, même si les environnements de Nitronic Rush auraient gagné à être plus dépouillés.

Côté bolides, seulement 2 véhicules sont disponibles. Peu conventionnels, ces clones de la mythique DeLorean sont capables de belles prouesses pour braver le danger : sauts, accélérations violentes et même vols dans les airs. On apprécie le tutoriel complet et parfaitement intégré à l'histoire. Attention tout de même : la jouabilité est compliquée et l'aventure Nitronic Rush s'adresse avant tout aux joueurs confirmés. La difficulté monte crescendo et atteint des sommets lors des derniers circuits.

Se plonger dans l'univers de Nitronic Rush est un réel plaisir. La prise en main et la lecture de la piste ne sont pas toujours évidentes. De quoi ravir les joueurs confirmés !
